  • An Emory Police Department officer traveling southbound on Houston Mill Road observed the driver of a maroon Dodge Durango accelerating at a high speed on Sept. 13 at 3:30 p.m. The driver’s vehicle swerved into the opposite lane and almost hit the sidewalk. The car continued accelerating and finally struck a telephone pole. The vehicle flipped onto its side. The driver, a male Emory student, attempted to exit the vehicle before emergency help could arrive. He was transported to Grady Hospital and DeKalb County Police Department handled the accident report.
  • An act of public indecency occurred on Sept. 13 btween 10:50 and 10:55 a.m. in Peavine Parking Deck after a security officer noticed an 18-year-old male subject urinating on the wall. The student attends Oxford College and voluntarily cleaned up the area after urinating. The report was forwarded to Oxford College.
  • On Sept. 13 between 2:38 and 5:04 a.m., a 20-year-old male student and a Nored security officer observed seven or eight black male individuals looking into vehicles parked on the third level of Peavine Parking Deck. The individuals then left the third level and began jumping on cars parked on the second level and set off several car alarms. The individuals fled th scene and sped out of the parking deck.
  • Someone activated the pull station fire alarm at 18 Eagle Row on Sept. 14 at 1:34 a.m. Officers responded to the scene but did not detect any sign of fire. The Division of Campus Life was notified.
  • On Sept. 14 at 12:45 a.m., an EPD officer was flagged down in regards to an accident that occurred at the intersection of North Decatur Road and Clairmont Road. One vehicle with four Emory students collided with another vehicle at the location. The students refused Emory Emergency Medical Services assitance. DeKalb County handled the accident report and issued a citation for the collision.
