  • Someone stole a bicycle from the bicycle rack at the Goizueta Business School sometime between Sept. 18 at 10 a.m. and Sept. 21 at 9 a.m. The victim, a male student, reportedly secured his red, white and black Fuji Odessa mountain bicycle to the bicycle rack with a cable lock. The bicycle and cable lock are valued at $430.
  • The Emory Police Department received a report from that two female students refused to pay their taxi fare on Sept. 19 at 6:25 a.m. The taxi reportedly drove them from Oxford College to the main Emory campus. One student told the taxi driver that she was told that an officer would be waiting at the location to pay their taxi fare. EPD spoke with the taxi driver on Sept. 22 at 8:11 p.m. and discovered that one of the female students did pay the driver for the outstanding fare.
  • EPD responded to 17 Eagle Row on Sept. 19 at 9:30 p.m. after a 19-year-old male student reported that someone shattered his rearview window on his vehicle. The male student stated that he had parked his ES 300 Lexus at approximately 6 p.m. and that he observed the damage when he returned. The total damage is approximately $500.
  • Officers responded to a group of unruly male subjects at 17 Eagle Row on Sept. 20 at 1:25 a.m. Individuals from 15 Eagle Row were reportedly making threatening calls and  yelling obscenities to the individuals at 17 Eagle Row, although there was not actual contact between individuals of the two groups. Officers identified the presidents of each fraternity house, who advised officers that they would meet with the members of their respective fraternities. The Division of Campus Life was notified of the incident.
  • Several vehicles at Bud Terrace at Wesley Woods were damaged when a tree fell at the location during a storm on Sept. 21 at approximately 6 p.m. The tree fell on a 2009 white Mercedes, although the car did not appear to be damaged at that time. Officers identified the owner of the Mercedes as a hospital staff member. The tree also hit a 2004 gold Honda Accord, damaging the front windshield. Officers were unable to identify the owner of the Honda Accord at that time. The tree also struck and damaged a green Honda Civic, belonging to a visitor to the center. The tree also hit a 2002 Ford Ranger, causing major damage to the truck bed and hood.
  • EPD assisted DeKalb County Fire Department with a hot power line at the 1599 Clifton Road Building on Sept. 22 between 2:30 p.m. and midnight. The power line was lying on the northbound sidewalk and EPD had to close the entrance to the Emory Hotel and Conference Center. Officers on the scene contacted Georgia Power, who responded to the location. EPD officers also blocked off the sidewalk at the location. The hot power line did spark a small fire in the pine needles surrounding the area, but that fire was extinguished. Officers determined that the power line belonged to AT&T.
