  • Emory Police Department responded to a report of a person down due to intoxication on Sept. 18 between 1:10 and 1:31 a.m. Officers located a female student in Harris Hall who stated that she had consumed four or five vodka mixed drinks in her residence hall. She was transported to Emory University Hospital and the Division of Campus Life was notified.
  • A 19-year-old male student reported that someone broke the sunroof of his 2006 Scion TC on Sept. 21 sometime between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m. The owner of the vehicle, a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, stated that the incident was part of a feud between the residents of Kappa Sigma and Beta Theta Pi fraternity houses.
  • EPD officers responded to Gatewood Drive at the Hillel construction site on Sept. 22 after receiving a report of suspicious activity. The complainant reportedly saw a tall black male subject crawl under the gate and into the construction site. DeKalb County Police Department officers responded to the call as well. Officers located the subjects and took them into custody. Officers determined that the subjects were actually employees of the contractor and were working after hours. They were released from custody at that time.
  • EPD received a report of suspicious activity from the School of Law library on Sept. 23 between 4:24 and 5:08 p.m. A 59-year-old white female subject was observed canvassing the Law library and handing out fliers in reference to law students giving legal counsel. Officers made contact with the female subject, who is a resident of Chamblee, Ga. The female subject told officers that she was looking for law students to help her file a lawsuit against the federal government. The female subject advised officers that she would voluntarily leave campus.
  • Two female students and a visitor to the University became stuck in an elevator in Clairmont Tower on Sept. 23 between 4:45 and 5:22 p.m. EPD notified DeKalb County Fire and Rescue of the incident. An employee of the Schindler elevator company released the passengers from the elevator before DeKalb County Fire and Rescue arrived at the location.
  • EPD officers responded to a fire alarm on Sept. 23 between 11:59 p.m. and 12:10 a.m. at 14 Eagle Row. Officers determined that a fog machine in the basement at the location may have set off the fire alarm. Facilities Management reset the fire alarm.
  • Two visitors to the University became trapped in an elevator in Lowergate Parking Deck on Sept. 23. An employee from the Schindler elevator company released the passengers from the elevator at 10:15 a.m. and the elevator was taken out of service for further repairs.
  • A 19-year-old female student reported that someone stole her EmoryCard from a computer station on the second level of Woodruff Library sometime between 7 and 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 22
