  • A 17-year-old female student told the Emory Police Department that her black iPod and Motorola cell phone and her roommate’s black laptop and charger were stolen from her room in McTyiere Hall on Oct. 26 sometime between 2:35 and 4:25 a.m. The victim had left her room unlocked and unattended during that period of time. When a delivery man called her cell phone to tell her that he had arrived with the Chinese food she had ordered earlier, a male answered her phone. Three male subjects were seen in the area during the time of the incident. One of them made contact with a resident of the first floor to ask her how to get out of the building. The case is under investigation.
  • A Giant bronze bicycle and a black Masterlock bicycle cable were stolen from the bicycle rack outside of the Dental School Building sometime between Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. and Oct. 30 at 9:30 a.m. The bicycle is valued at $600, and lock cable at $12.
  • EPD officers reported to the Turman Residential Center on Oct. 30 at 7:59 a.m. after a fight was reported. The two engaged in the fight were students at Druid Hills High School. One student said he was hit twice in the face and punched in the jaw by someone he did not know. EPD officers contacted Druid Hills officials and turned the two over.
  • EPD officers responded to a fire alarm at 8 Eagle Row on Oct. 30 at 10:37 p.m. Someone had set off the fire alarm from a pull station on the third floor. While officers were checking the third floor for signs of fire, they detected an overwhelming odor of marijuana. Officers could not locate the residents or the source of the smell near the area at that time.
  • A 28-year-old student called EPD on Oct. 31 to report that she had been receiving harassing phone calls since Sept. 30. She reported that someone has been calling her cell phone and hanging up repeatedly. She has asked for the calls to stop on several occasions, but the calls continue to be made from a blocked number. The information has been turned over to an investigator.
