• A male student contacted the Emory Police Department (EPD) on Feb. 3 at approximately 11:30 a.m. and stated that when he had attempted to pick up a package that had been delivered to him at the Dobbs University Center (DUC) post office, it appeared that some unknown, unauthorized person had already retrieved the package. The student stated that he had received an e-mail that the package had arrived at the DUC, but when he entered his student ID number at the post office to claim the item, someone else had already taken it. The package contained a music history anthology book, valued at $35, that the student had ordered online. The case has been turned over to an investigator.

The officers also confiscated four waterpipes, two hookahs, three grinders and an oxygen mask, as well as three Mason jars and one Super Nintendo joystick that had been used as pipes.
• A male caller contacted EPD on Feb. 6 to report that, as he was crossing the bridge from the Michael Street parking deck toward Longstreet-Means Hall between 8:30 and 8:49 a.m., he had found a plastic bag of a substance suspected to be marijuana. He had placed the bag on a pole near Longstreet-Means Hall before calling EPD. No one was around at the time the bag was found. EPD officers later located the bag, which contained less than one ounce of marijuana.
• EPD officers responded to a 911 call from building B of the Undergraduate Residential Center on Clairmont Campus on Feb. 8 between 1:30 and 2:30 a.m. The call came from a female student who stated that she and her boyfriend had had an argument. The student’s boyfriend was not at the location when the officers arrived. The student was not interested in pursuing any charges, and she did not appear to have any injuries.
